Enlightenment through moving images

Do you know it?

You are told about a situation of a serious topic, but you can’t imagine what exactly is meant? And even after one repetition, it just doesn’t click? This is exactly where moving images come into play.
Pictures underline a situation or a process which is worth explaining.
A fact that is perhaps so distant or unreal that the images enlighten.

You can see an explanatory video example here starting at minute 09:53, which was used on Swiss television for clarification.

What can you educate with moving images, for example?

Patient education:
Imagine that you are at the doctor’s office and a certain examination is coming up. They do not yet understand exactly what actually happens during this examination and ask. But before the doctor starts to explain the individual procedures in technical jargon, you get to see a moving image in advance. This describes, explains and shows you exactly the procedure that you are now facing.

Employers:
You hire a new employee and want to explain the production of your product to him. The process is complicated and difficult – again, an explainer video can support and enlighten.
Thus, there is a possibility to hand out an explanatory video, or several, to your new employee in advance, so that the basis is communicated.
The big advantage is that your new employee can watch this video at his speed. He can stop it and repeat it as many times as he wants.

News:
TV news is an excellent example of the combination of moving image and the education of various topics. And here we are not talking about the moving image that features the news anchor, but the animated infographics or even explainer videos regarding various, sometimes very serious topics. For example, climate change including education with the help of an explanatory video.

DIY:
Do It Yourself – clips usually consist of a real person showing a process and describing it step by step. With voice and action, the viewer is taken along and enlightened.

These are 4 basic enlightenments that can be supported by moving images.

But the possibilities are endless. It is possible to produce an explanatory clip for almost all situations, explanations, etc. in order to reach the end customer/viewer in the best possible way.
